The Wraith 2 (1988)

Months after Billy (Matthew Barry) obtained the valuable keys and control of the ominous black Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor, mysterious killings and illegal races are reported by the local police which arises the interest of the FBI. Meanwhile, another superior car type ("Onyx") emerges in between the dunes, looking for trouble. The driver (Ted Prior) is being described as humanoid, accompanied by similar emotionless riders. He'll soon be the antagonist "Nemesis" while taking and acquiring at discretion and giving the American task force a hard time. Billy and his friends accidentally come close to the object and take pictures. The providing technology of the foreign model could impossibly be invented for many decades!

However, gawkling caused trouble to the heroes which claims one life and Billy's girlfriend Tracy (Lea Thompson) being kidnapped. It's more than a challenge now to face both: local gangs and the one obviously descended from a future time of another galaxy to be defeated.
